They are knitted in soft cotton jersey, with a fabric of 98% organic cotton and 2% elastane. Cotton jersey is what gives them their give and their softness underfoot, breathing rather than trapping heat across a full day of wear. The organic fibre means the cotton has been grown to a stricter standard than the commodity stuff most multipacks are made from.
The detail that matters most is the cuff, which is knitted with fine elastane threads. It holds the sock at the ankle comfortably, without the tight band that leaves a mark, and it is the reason these stay up rather than slipping down into the heel of your shoe by lunchtime. Six pairs, one less thing to think about.
