About Bascora
London — Est. Bascora
Where Natural Fibres
Meet Refined Living
Leather tanned slowly. Linen woven with patience. Cotton chosen for touch. We curate the materials that endure.

A London Edit,
Built on Substance
Bascora began with a simple conviction: that the objects we carry and the textiles we live in should be made from materials that have earned their place. Not trend-driven synthetics, not disposable fast fashion — but leather, linen, and cotton in their most considered forms.
From our base in London, we look across Europe and beyond for pieces that carry the quiet confidence of genuine craft. Each one selected not for novelty, but for the way it will feel in a year, in five years, in a decade.
"The finest things are not made quickly. They are grown, tanned, woven, and worn — slowly, honestly, beautifully."— The Bascora Edit
Three Fibres.
One Philosophy.
Every category in the Bascora collection traces back to a single source: the natural world. Leather from hides aged with care. Linen from flax grown in European fields. Cotton chosen for its weight, its weave, its warmth. These are not interchangeable commodities — they are the foundation of everything we do.
I. Leather
II. Linen
III. Cotton
Bags That Carry
More Than Things
Our leather collection is anchored in real, full-grain hides — the kind that develop a patina over time, that soften with use, that tell the story of where they've been. The Brooklyn crossbody. The Megan cosmetic. Each piece is RFID-protected, European-crafted, and designed to be carried for years, not seasons.
We believe a leather bag is not an accessory — it is a companion. It should be chosen with the same care as the life you intend to live in it.
The Textiles
You Live In
Linen breathes. Cotton holds. Together they form the quiet backbone of a considered home and wardrobe. Our linen apparel is cut for European proportions — relaxed but structured, effortless but intentional. Our cotton home textiles are chosen for weight and weave, for the way they feel against skin at the end of a long day.
Natural fibres age differently to synthetics. They soften. They settle. They become more themselves with every wash. That is precisely why we choose them.
What We Ask of
Every Product
Before anything earns a place in the Bascora collection, it must answer four questions honestly.
Is it natural?
Leather, linen, cotton, wool — materials with provenance, not petroleum.
Will it last?
We ask how it will look in three years, not three weeks.
Is it honest?
No misleading claims. No inflated origins. What we say is what it is.
Does it belong?
Every piece must sit coherently within the Bascora world — nothing arbitrary, nothing gratuitous.

Twenty Years Building
Other People's Brands.
Then His Own.
Jose M. Gonzalez grew up in La Coruña, on the Atlantic coast of Galicia, until he was twelve — when his family moved back to London. Two cities, two ways of living. One shaped by the sea, the other by the pace of a capital. That contrast never left him.
He spent over two decades as a designer, building websites and digital identities for other people's businesses. He understood what made a brand feel real — and what made it feel hollow. Eventually, he stopped designing for others and started Bascora: a store built around the same standard he had always applied to his work, but applied now to the things he actually wanted to own.
He collects coins — not for their value, but for what they carry: the weight of a place, a period, a decision someone made to put a particular image into circulation. He spends time near the water whenever he can. Both habits inform the same instinct: that the things worth keeping are the ones with a story behind them.
"I spent years helping brands look credible. Eventually I wanted to build something that actually was."
— Jose M. Gonzalez, Founder & Creative Director
